"A Groomer abused a veterans service dog and broke off its tail. Deputies say Suthann reportedly held the dog's head down so tight that it was in visible pain and couldn't move. Then, Ivey said the groomer grabbed TT's tail to lift him off the ground, causing the tail to spin a full 360 degrees and break to the point where it couldn't be reattached. TT had to undergo emergency surgery to amputate his tail.

Ivey said the cruel incident was caught on camera, but was too graphic to share.

The sheriff said a disabled veteran scheduled a grooming appointment with 37-year-old James Suthann for his service dog. Ivey said the video shows Suthann becoming angry with the dog, named "TT," because it wouldn't stand still.

Ivey also said Suthann hit TT in the head with a bathing hose's nozzle.

"It is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to watch in my 39 years of law enforcement," Ivey said."
